I immediately felt like im in the wrong place as I figured the author would be writing about something new in SketchUp. After all, these days SketchUp is owned by Google and like a child of mine said, “If its not broken dont fix it” Google builds new things and replaces functionality with new ways to do the same thing. And so I thought to myself, “This guy is going to review and rewrite SketchUp from scratch? Not likely” So I found myself in a bit of a quandary and decided to continue reading.
And before long I was hooked. This book was very informative and well written. For someone who is like myself, a demo method is always a good way to learn a new program. And the author did a very good job of breaking down the user interface step by step. I can only imagine how frustrating it must have been to watch a beginner work through some of the more advanced features of SketchUp. I would have been frustrated too.
This turned out to be a very good review of both the interface and the programming. And there was no filler, only straight on point, step by step illustrations. I thought the author might try to highlight some of the newer features and how they can be used in real life situations. But he just moved right along.
