The version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus we tested was 7.6.6035.0, which was published on August 19, 2012, and was activated on September 5, 2012. ESET have a site at www.eset.com/customersupport/node/138 where you can look up the version of their software running on your PC. The version number will be 7.4.4.0 if it’s up to date. The version we tested had an MUI of 5.0.8930.0, so for UK users you’ll be running that version, however you can check the MUI manually using the same way as described earlier.

The default settings in ESET NOD32 Antivirus are pretty good. You can choose an option to run your computer in a virtual desktop or in’suspend’ mode, but the default choice is ‘normal’, which uses all your system resources. ESET released a completely new version of NOD32, and I got a chance to check it out. I loaded the free update DVD and let it install.
