When you switch from DPP to ACR, the default raw conversion settings will be “Canon DPP as shot”. Unfortunately, these are very poor color settings. What I did was set up my color space in DPP and then use the > Raw import option. After that, I changed the Color space type to sRGB. Unfortunately, ACR doesn’t have an option to make the color space change permanent. However, I noticed that I could save a RAW file (sRGB) and then open it with ACR. I could then change the color space to sRGB by selecting Open as sRGB in the file manager. Finally, I could save the file with the new naming format “C1” and then open it with ACR. In ACR, I simply selected A Color > Curves to adjust color. (I normally prefer Adobe Lightroom if I’m doing that, but I haven’t tried that yet.
